Mayne Island offers a wide range of activities for the whole family.

Mayne Island boasts some of the best kayaking in the Gulf Islands. With direct access to the Gulf Islands National Park kayakers can experience spectacular scenery and view abundant wildlife. For the beginner or fist time kayaker Guided Tours, Lessons and Rentals are available. For the more experienced our kayak outfitters offer a variety of day tours, daily and overnight rentals, assistance with trip planning, professional instruction and retails sales.

Cycling is a popular mode of transportation on our quiet island roads. Bike Rentals are available for half day, full day or multi-days. Scooter Rentals are also available.

Why not charter a Sail Boat. Half day or full day skippered sailing trips are offered on a 33 ft sailboat. Fishing Charters are also available. Catch the big one! All equipment and experienced skipper is included.

For those interested in more traditional activities 2 tennis courts are located next to the Community Centre on Felix Jack Road, a putting green is located in Dinner Bay Park, baseball diamonds and playgrounds are available at Dinner Bay Park and the School and a soccer field is available on the school grounds.

Active Pass Important Bird Area

The Active Pass Important Bird Area is an international designation. Its rich waters support 40 species of marine birds at some time during the year. Best times Fall to Spring. www.activepassiba.ca

Geocaching

Mayne Island has many Geocaches hidden all over the island, (this is an activity that’s fun for the whole family).
