Discover Mayne Island

Enjoy artists’ galleries, shops, and restaurants located around the island. In Miners Bay, find many services including a gas station, liquor store, post office, ATMs and groceries. On Saturday mornings from May through October, enjoy the Farmer’s Market. Stop by our museum built in 1886 as a jail and visit the historic St. Mary Magdalene Church.

Don’t miss Georgina Point Lighthouse and Bennett Bay, part of Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, or enjoy a hike up Mount Parke to a spectacular viewpoint. Use the putting green at Dinner Bay Park, cycle our quiet roads, or relax at one of many local eateries.

Experience the surrounding water by kayak, canoe or sailboat. Try your luck at fishing! Our magnificent Japanese Gardens at Dinner Bay Park on former Japanese-owned land, honours early residents and their contribution to island life before World War 2.
