Mayne Island Agricultural Society

The Mayne Island Agricultural Society (1962) preserves and operates the historic Agricultural Hall and Museum (Plumper Pass Gaol) in Miner’s Bay. The Society operates two Thrift Shops and stages the annual Fall Fair every August.

The Mayne Island Agricultural Hall is the historic, century old centre of the community. The Hall is fully equipped with a stage, kitchen, auditorium (capacity 100 people), display space, and wifi.  Outside on the Hall grounds is a stage and area for summer concerts.  The Farmers Market takes place on the grounds every Saturday from the May long weekend to the October long weekend.

The Mayne Island Thrift Shop & The Store Next Door are open year-round.
Saturdays- 10:00am - 1:00pm - Shopping & Donations
Wednesdays- 9:30am-11:00am - Donations Only

All funds generated from our sales are used to support the operations of the Hall and the museum as well as Agricultural programs and education on Mayne Island.

The Museum is open from the July 1st long weekend to Labour Day long weekend, on Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 10:00am – 1:00pm, or by appointment.
